PostSubject: Renovating my kitchen   Tue 18 Nov - 14:23

I'm just making a quick post but i will add more later. I decided last week i wanted new worktops in my kitchen, things just seem to have escalated. My kitchen has been gutted and i'm having everything new bananadance The place is in a terrible state, we have to have plastering done the floor is just plain cement and i have no oven, cupboards etc it looks like a bomb site!! Looks like we are living on sandwiches for the next couple of weeks. Once i do something there is no stopping me..........poor hubby:lol!:

I am having a built in electric fan oven and i dont know how long it's gonna take for me to get the hang of it as i have always had gas. If anyone can give me advice please do.

I Have had stomach cramps all day, they are just going away now. I think its because of the dirty, dusty atmosphere here. I try to clean but its almost impossible,

The carpets in the bathroom and bedroom have been taken up so that we could do the wireing and everything has been dumped in the sitting room and middle bedroom. We even had the kitchen units in the living room coz there was no room left in the conservetory . Poor hubby is struggling to do most of the work himself after he comes home from his main job.

Well!! 4 weeks to go before Xmas so he better hurry up and get it finished.poor man notsaying

We are getting there slowly but things seem to be going wrong.i.e my kettle has bust,4 floor tiles are uneven and i cant fit my washing machine into the space provided after fitting the sink.cooker, fridge and worktop!! It might have to be redone if we cant find a solution Cry

Looks like its not going to be too soon Cry Hubby hurt his finger whilst trying to get the washing machine into the space provided by the workmen. Its been bleeding all night and half the nail is off. Hes down the hospital now!!
I am so angry with the workmen for putting us in this position aghhhh

No stitches Chris they wanted the nail st stick back to the skin with some special stuff, he has to go back wednesdayto see if it works. He saw the workman at the hospital, can you believe it????Strange but true lol, anyway the man asked what was wrong and mahruf told him he did it trying to fix their botched job!! Well..guess what? The men came round tonight and sorted it out so now the washing machine is ok. However we have to wait till M's finger is better before he can continue the work. I am going to call in some favours from people because all his life he has been helping others and not asking for anything in return. Lets see who remembers his good deeds!!
